Sony Corporation is a Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation headquartered in Kōnan, Minato, Tokyo. The company owns the largest music entertainment business in the world, the largest video game console business and the second-largest video game publishing business, and is one of the leading manufacturers of electronic products for the consumer and professional markets, and a leading player in the film and television entertainment industry. Sony was ranked 97th on the 2018 Fortune Global 500 list.

The Japanese Sony Corporation was in trouble back in July 2006 with American consumers for an ad it ran in The Netherlands. It was a Dutch billboard campaign for Sony's new PlayStation Portable video game player. According to CNET Sony had pulled a Dutch billboard advertising campaign for the new white version of its PlayStation Portable video game player and apologized to anyone offended by the ad, which critics dubbed racist. A billboard ad in the campaign--which Sony said was launched in the first week of June and created locally and exclusively for the Dutch market--portrayed a white woman aggressively grabbing the face of a black woman and read "PlayStation Portable White is Coming." Sony said that the Netherlands campaign intended to highlight the color contrast between the existing black PSP and the new ceramic white PSP. Instead, the ad campaign riled California Assemblyman Leland Yee, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and a youth civil rights education project called Sojourn to the Past. Those critics condemned Sony's use of the racially charged photo to sell a product and said it recalled an age and time when black people were portrayed in minstrel shows.

"Where should I start? This whole PS5 launch has been a disaster from the very beginning. I have too many Sony products to count like so many others do and apparently that doesn't matter since whoever headed the PS5 launch wasn't taking that into consideration. They botched preorders, they botched the additional online orders and then they made it so that no one could walk in-store to purchase. What a gangster move. Knowing that bots were eating up inventory and that some of us that are educators and first responders weren't available to try at a preorder it was business as usual. I mean, I get it, a sale is a sale and that's their main goal. Who's hands their systems land in is not their most pressing concern. Then, some were supposed to get a special invite if they were actively on their Playstation systems. Some of us don't have time to play daily and even some that do, didn't get the so called " Special Invite". Now, there are retailers with some systems on hand and they won't sell until their "Black Friday" events, and those too will be online only. If adults wish to line up and camp out, they should be able to do so and be wise and safe about it. Just pathetic is what I can say. Yet, some people who make a living from YouTube receive free units. Isn't that something. In the future, I really have to start rethinking where I purchase some of my products, especially since there are other companies that make some of those items."

"Frustration 1: Launch PS5 with local in-store sales...compete with local buyers. Launch PS5 with online-only sales...compete with MILLIONS!!! Frustration 2: Crashing every website that launches the PS5 due to directing MILLIONS of buyers to a couple of websites at the same time. Covid isn’t stopping any other company to put their product on shelves in store. Next time you launch a product, flip the script...all first day purchases happen in-store and no online purchases on launch day."

"I had a discount coupon which i wanted applied to my pre ordered WF-SP800N headphones. After asking for a partial refund to be provided since I had already placed my order and could not use my coupon, i was told by staff that it is not possible although the item was never shipped out. When i said i want to return it after i receive it and re place the order but this time by using my coupon code since the coupon amount was $50.00 and I would still be saving even after shipping costs, they refused my return and said they do not accept change of mind returns. Absolutely disgusting behavior from a cooperate bully. Thanks for changing the mind of a life long Sony fan and losing a loyal customer in the process."

"I bought a used playstation 4 system, just when i got it i paid for a 3 months plus+ service from sony. I had it for about 2 months the system and then sold it. The plus+ service ends up renewing it self and i was charged. I ended up contacting paypal for refund and got it. Sony has banned my account and keeping it hostage till i pay the 3 months Plus+ service using sony gift cards. I have owned this account since playstation 3 released and purchase lots of games under this account, now that i have no access to my account, i also have no access to any games i purchase over the years. I though if you buy a game from sony store you own it but i guess not, sony can take the games away from you just like that. DON'T BUY GAMES FROM SONY STORE BUY FROM THE LOCAL STORE ON DISC this way you own the game 100% and sony cant take it away from you."

I have sent it to sony official repair store and it is being 'assessed' according to those salty customer service centre.
